    Why is Deskpass becoming WorkCafe?

Yardi, a leader in real estate and workplace technology, acquired Deskpass and has invested in building a more powerful platform under the WorkCafe brand. The goal: keep everything you love about Deskpass while adding the analytics, integrations, and global coverage our customers have been asking for.

Is this a rebrand or a new product?

It’s a platform upgrade. WorkCafe is a new platform built on top of everything Deskpass has learned over the years, with significant new capabilities like robust analytics, WeWork location access (coming soon), and Single Sign-On.

    Do we have to switch?

Yes, all Deskpass clients will transition to WorkCafe.

    When does our company move?

Your Account Manager will confirm exact dates and walk you through the timeline.

    Will our pricing change?

The way workspace pricing is determined will remain the same, our space partners will continue to set their own prices. However, as part of this transition, your service fee will decrease from 8% to 5%.

Will our team lose access during the transition?

No. Your users will keep booking through Deskpass until cutover, after which they’ll log in to WorkCafe with a magic link.

    What about our existing/upcoming bookings?

All confirmed bookings will be honored through Deskpass, unless otherwise specified by your Account Manager. New bookings will be created on WorkCafe.

Does our usage history come with us?

No. Booking history must be downloaded from Deskpass at teams.deskpass.com/reservations

    What’s actually new?

Headline additions: robust analytics dashboards, access to the full WeWork network (coming soon), Single Sign-On (SSO), and a refreshed booking experience. The full feature comparison is in the WorkCafe vs Deskpass guide.

Can another SAML Identity Provider be used?

Yes. WorkCafe uses the SAML 2.0 standard, so other standards-compliant SAML 2.0 Identity Providers should also be compatible.

Is a direct HRIS integration required?

No. WorkCafe can fit into the customer’s existing identity architecture, with the HRIS feeding the customer’s Identity Provider and the Identity Provider integrating with WorkCafe.

Can users be managed without SCIM?

Yes. Users can also be managed using WorkCafe administrative tools.

Can users add WorkCafe bookings to their calendar?

Yes. Time-based reservations and bookings support Add to Calendar.

Can users share bookings through Teams or Slack?

Yes. WorkCafe supports sharing reservations and bookings directly to Microsoft Teams and Slack, as well as through a shareable link.

    Will billing or invoicing change?

Your billing method will stay the same, unless you’d like to modify it.

What about our data and privacy?

Your data migrates within the same trust framework. WorkCafe operates under Yardi’s enterprise security and compliance program. Updated DPA and security documentation are available on request.

What support do we get during the transition?

Your Account Manager remains your primary point of contact end-to-end. You’ll also get access to admin training, end-user training resources, an internal communications kit, and our support team.

What if our employees have questions?

We’ve prepared an Employee Communications Kit (templates, FAQ, quick-start guide) you can adapt and share internally. Your Account Manager will provide it ahead of your launch.

What happens to the Deskpass app/website?

Once your account is migrated, your team will access WorkCafe directly. We’ll provide clear redirects and instructions so no one ends up at the wrong place.
